Bethany Church Manchester reaching Wilmslow
Bethany Church Manchester is a thriving Pentecostal Church reaching the community of Wilmslow. We are a multi-National Church family and a fun place where you can be yourself and find God. We have a variety of activities going on throughout the week for the people of Wilmslow. There is something for everyone here at Bethany Church Manchester. The genre of worship music is varied and new worship songs are introduced all the time to keep things fresh. We want to live in the now of our relationship with God whilst honouring our rich Pentecostal heritage. The best of the old and the new is what we aim for.
Bethany Church Manchester is part of The Elim Pentecostal Church, a growing movement of more than 550 Christian congregations in the UK and Ireland.
Part of our vision for 2017 is one of enlargement and reach where we begin to stretch out our tent pegs. Our focus during 2017 will be one of ‘in-reach’ where we no longer focus our activities at Bethany Church Manchester, on the suburbs alone. The strategy of Bethany Church Manchester is to also engage with and reach into Wilmslow. So if you are looking for a church in Wilmslow then do pay us a visit.
We’re a friendly bunch!
We are young, and not so young. We are supercool and super conservative. Some of us are very quiet; some of us are very loud. We are a multitude of ethnicities. We are varied in shades and shapes; in our circumstances, aspirations and opinions.
God loves with open arms and with a wide open heart. And we have chosen this as our passion and purpose also. We are aware of our failings and weaknesses and each of us have areas in our lives we are working on. Yet our aim is high —to grow, make friends, build family, and become the best version of ourselves we can possibly be.
We know we don’t have it all together, but we are discovering what it means to find LIFE in Jesus, to follow him fully, and allow Him space so He can free us from things that pain or bind us. Jesus promised healing, victory, abundant life and we aim for nothing less.
As a church committed to reaching the people of Wilmslow we would love to see you soon.
What to expect
Most of the people you meet when you visit Bethany Church Manchester will be nice and friendly. We look forward to meeting you.
We care about you, not what you’re wearing. We don’t care who you’re voting for or how many tattoos you have. We want to welcome you and provide a space where you feel loved and accepted whatever your style or circumstance. We want our church to feel like “home” for you, a place of friendship and belonging for the people of Wilmslow.
We meet at 100 Church Road in Wilmslow at 10:30 am. We’re next to Wilmslow Physiotherapy Clinic tucked back off the road behind some trees, so sometimes people miss us. We’re saving a seat for you!
If you’ve never been, and you’re considering coming from Wilmslow, here’s what you should expect…
We love to see new faces. But, we don’t always recognise the first-time visitors, so feel free to say, “This is my first time” and we’ll guide you in!
A casual atmosphere
Come as you are, we want you to feel at home. We will not single you out publicly or ask you to say anything, and we do not expect guests to contribute anything financially. After the service grab a hot cup of free tea or coffee from our cafe. We’d love you to join us.
A fun, safe environment for kids
Kids love it at Bethany Church Manchester! All of our Children Ministry volunteers have a commitment to the welfare and well-being of children and families and each has undergone mandatory government background checks.
Teaching that connects the words of the Bible to everyday life. Music that is lively, including keyboards, drums and guitars. We love to be creative and enjoy God in a vibrant way.
We trust the Bible completely even when we don’t fully understand it. We cherish the Kingdom of God and want to play our part in investing and multiplying all aspects of God’s work, locally in Wilmslow and globally.
If you have any specific questions, email us at [email protected], and we hope to meet you this Sunday!
