Restored: Embracing God’s Promise of Renewal
The start of 2025 brings with it God’s call for restoration. Reflecting on Amos 9:11-12, we see a powerful promise:
“I will restore David’s fallen shelter — I will repair its broken walls and restore its ruins — and will rebuild it as it used to be…”
God’s message through Amos wasn’t just for ancient Israel. It’s for us today. Regardless of how 2024 unfolded—whether it was a year of triumph or challenge—God desires to restore what is broken in our lives.
Restoration isn’t just repair; it’s renewal with purpose. In the scripture, God promises to restore, repair, rebuild, and give possession of His blessings. What areas of your life need God’s touch in 2025? Is it your health, relationships, or spiritual vitality? Take a moment to reflect and pray over these things, asking God for His restoration.
The promises of God are unshakeable. Like the armadillo storage fire story I shared, His blessings don’t vanish into smoke. They may remain unclaimed, but they’re always available. Restoration is about reclaiming what God has stored for us—promises of peace, joy, and purpose.
Let’s begin 2025 by stepping into God’s restorative work. Ask Him to repair the broken walls of your life and to rebuild your faith for the year ahead. In His hands, what seems lost can become a foundation for something greater.
