Praying for Others – Interceding in Love

Another critical area of prayer James highlights is praying for others, particularly those who have lost their way. In James 5:19–20, he calls us to bring back those who wander from the truth, reminding us of the redemptive power of prayer.

Interceding for others isn’t just a duty; it’s an act of love. Whether it’s for family members, friends, or colleagues, our prayers can make a difference in their lives. James refers to Elijah, who prayed earnestly for a nation. Similarly, we’re called to stand in the gap for those around us.

Who in your life needs prayer today? It could be a family member struggling with faith, a friend facing challenges, or even someone you barely know. Praying for others requires persistence and faith, trusting that God hears and moves in response to our prayers.
