Pat-a-cake

Pat a cake is our baby and toddler group which meets on Tuesday mornings during term-time, from 10am to 12.00pm at Bethany Church.  Pat a cake has a real community feel about it with a very open and caring atmosphere. We cater for about 30 little ones each week with their parents/carers.

Babies and pre-school children are welcome as the activities are suited to this age group, but not school-age children. While parents/carers are responsible for their children, we try to make sure that Pat a cake is a safe and happy place for everyone.

There are a variety of toys for the children to play with, and tea, coffee, juice and snacks are available. We have just introduced healthy snacks for little ones to cut down on the biscuits.

During the morning there is singing and traditional nursery rhymes. This is followed by a craft activity, with a topical theme.

We also have special events over the year like “Sports Day”, when we raised money for World Vision, Teddy Bears Picnic and Harvest, when we collected food items for Barnabus. Attendance at Mini Rockers is 50p per person which includes refreshments. Babies under 12 months go free.

Due to our popularity and space, there is a small waiting list; so if little ones want to come and join in they need to get their carer to contact us and get their name on the list. We do review placements on a regular basis and try our best to accommodate.
