Following a great start to the new year with a Mens’ breakfast featuring James Aladiran of Prayer Storm we are roaring into February with guest speaker Derek Lindley. Currently Derek Lindley and his wife are attending Hazel Grove Baptist church, South Manchester; but, in years past we were privileged to have him as an Elder of Bethany Church, Manchester.
This must be a fortuitous engagement because 2023 is our fiftieth anniversary celebration of the founding of Bethany Church and Derek would have been in those heady days when the church made a name for itself as powerhouse of God. However, Derek isn’t joining us on Saturday the 18th February to reminisce about the old days at Bethany Church Manchester but is helping the men of Bethany Church look forward to new things and God.
When given a choice of being given a subject to speak on or choosing his own he came back with the conviction that he should speak about ‘Changing Seasons’. Derek is a sort after speaker with a vast experience of teaching from the Bible and this mens’ meeting will be a potentially life changing event as Derek reveals God’s will for us at Bethany Church… if not the church at large.
The mens’ meeting will repeat our current popular format of starting at 8.30am with friendly chat and drinks in the church’s coffee lounge. On-site parking is easy and free with ground floor access. The address is a memorable 100 Church Road, Gatley, SK8 4NQ. Next, comes our complimentary men friendly menu… a choice of cereals, fruit juices, bacon baps and toast. Followed by a time of worship led by our Bethany Church in-house worship team. The main event follows with Derek’s presentation. Winding up by 10.30am.
