My 7 favourite church Apps
As technology continues to advance, more and more churches are embracing the use of apps to reach out to their congregation and connect with them in a more interactive way. Bethany Church in Manchester is no exception. With a range of different apps available, Bethany Church is leading the way when it comes to using technology to enhance the worship experience. In this blog, I will be sharing some of my favourite church apps, with a particular focus on Bethany Church.
Bethany Church Suite
The Bethany Church Suite is a great tool for anyone who wants to stay up-to-date with everything that is happening at the church. It includes a range of different features, including a calendar of events.
Bethany website bethany.uk
Sermon notes, and the ability to watch live streams of services and ways of giving are accessible via the bethany.uk website.
GivtApp
As our society moves towards being cash less we can use the Givt app to make donations to the church.
Bible App
The Bible App is a fantastic resource for anyone who wants to read the Bible on their mobile device. It includes a range of different translations, as well as audio versions of the Bible. You can also use the app to take notes and highlight passages, making it a great tool for Bible study. Bethany Church often references the Bible App during services, encouraging congregation members to follow along with the sermon on their devices.
YouVersion Bible Lens
YouVersion Bible Lens is an app that allows you to take a photo and overlay a Bible verse on top of it. It’s a great way to add a spiritual dimension to your photos and share them on social media. Bethany Church often encourages its congregation to use the app to share images from services and events, helping to spread the word about the church.
Hymnary
Hymnary is a fantastic resource for anyone who loves to sing hymns. It includes a database of over 5,000 hymns, as well as sheet music and lyrics. You can use the app to search for specific hymns, or browse by category. Bethany Church often uses Hymnary during services, projecting the lyrics onto screens so that congregation members can sing along.
Echo Prayer
Echo Prayer is a prayer app that allows you to create custom prayer lists and set reminders to pray throughout the day. It’s a great tool for anyone who wants to develop a regular prayer habit. Bethany Church often encourages its congregation to use the app to pray for specific needs within the church and the wider community.
