A CHURCH IN MANCHESTER MOVING TO FIRST CLASS

As a Church in Manchester we realise that we cannot upgrade to first class and keep our economy behaviour, mindsets, relationships and ways of doing things.

We teach our people that the God we serve presents us with many opportunities where we are offered an upgrade in life, in position and in role.
When opportunity comes our way, we need to understand that we cannot continue thinking in an economy way.

TRAINED TO SERVE FIRST CLASS

We cannot bring our economy class behaviours into first class.
It wont fit and it will feel awkward if we do.

It’s important to understand that people who serve in first class are trained to serve first in class.
They serve first class business people.

As a Church in Manchester we are keen to invest in our people who serve in their places of work and their community, to instil in them a desire to move away from an economy mentality.
We want to be at our best for Christ wherever we represent him.

We cannot upgrade to first class on paper, organisationally, in language if we have people who are still in economy.

A FIRST CLASS CULTURE

As a Church in Manchester we want to create a first class culture and DNA within our church,
a culture where our people are helped to realise their potential and develop a first class mentality.
Where they are done with seeing life, reasoning and thinking economy.
Where instead they are always thinking first class.

At Bethany Church in Manchester our culture is one of growing our people.

A TOWN THAT REFUSED AN UPGRADE

A famous cotton town in the UK illustrates the point well.

Their local council opened a wonderful new shopping mall with great pomp and fanfare,
but staffed it with people who did not want to be there, who did not understand customer service and were ill-mannered. The business closed down within the space of a few short years.

This is not because their mall was unneeded, not a good idea, or because people didn’t want it in their town.
This was because the owners of the mall staffed a first class business idea with people who were economy minded.

FIRST CLASS IS WHAT WE WANT IN ALL WE DO

At Bethany Church in Manchester first class is what we want in all we do!

Ecclesiasties 9:10 says:
“Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might, for in the realm of the dead,
where you are going, there is neither working nor planning nor knowledge nor wisdom.”
The verse speaks of a way of thinking, that wants to do things in a first class way.

We want to develop a Church of first class minded people, in charge of running first class ideas
for God and His kingdom.

Our motivation as a Church in Manchester is to continually upgrade, to move up to first class.
